www.cjournal.cz) published by FaME has been placed on the List of Reviewed Periodicals without Impact Factor Published in the Czech Republic. The journal offers results of basic and applied economic research presented by national and international authors in the Czech and English languages. The organizers of the “TeX double conference” (ConTeXt Meeting and TeXperience 2010 Conference) are pleased to announce that the TBU Faculty of Management and Economics as the official co-organizer has been informed by PhDr. Miroslava Kopcová, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, that the Ministry will support the Conference, i.e. the event will be held under the auspices of the Ministry.
For the first time ever, a music and dance party featuring electronic music and d’n’b will be held during the film festival. The party will focus on the famous “VHS cassettes”, which once conquered the world and considerably influenced the whole society. The event will host the following performances: ELECTRONIC BITCHES, KATCHA (one of the best Drum’n’Bass DJ’s in our country), X.MORPH and UFO UNIVERSA ROCKER.

The event entitled “Student Union in the Park” is scheduled to start at 15:00 and will last until 20:00. The programme includes various sports and games such as pétanque, ludo, marbles, jumping in bags, frisbees, etc. The entry is free for everybody!
Indonesian traditional dances, songs and folk costumes will be presented in the University Centre building (U13) on Friday, 7 May 2010. Students of the Universitas Pembangunan Nasional in Yogyakarta will give their performance at 10:00.

The fourteenth edition of the “Anti” Ball, organized by the TBU Student Union, will be held in the Golem and Flip clubs on Tuesday, 23 March 2010. The event will start at 20:00, the entrance fee for participants with a mask is CZK 20, for those without a mask it is CZK 40. In the Golem club the bands Neo Chess Sunny and Tatroska will be on stage, visitors to the Flip club will enjoy oldies. At midnight the winners of the competition for the best fancy dress outfit will be announced in both clubs.
The remaining (standing and seating) tickets for the TBU Gala Ball will be on sale in the TBU Refectory (U4) between 11:00 and 15:00 on Monday, 15 March 2010. The seating ticket price includes a bottle of sparkling wine, etc. The standing ticket price is CZK 300 (full-time students), CZK 350 (others); the seating ticket price is CZK 400 (full-time students), CZK 450 (others).
FUTURE OF THE FINANCIAL SECTOR AFTER THE CRISIS
You will learn plenty of up-to-date information on the world of finance, you will have the chance to discuss the impact of crisis on the financial sector and a number of other interesting topics. The meeting with Ing. Mojmír Hampl, Ph.D., the Vice-Governor of the Czech National Bank, will take place in the Otto Wichterle Hall (U2 building) between 12:00 and 14:00 on 19 April 2010.
The tickets will be on sale on Thursday, 4 March 2010.You can collect them in the U44 building (former seat of the TBU Library) at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications, on the ground floor in the conference room No. 109 between 10:00 and 15:00. Please bring your ID card or university chip card with you. Full-time students must present all student cards that have been entered into the system and are used to receive a price reduction for students. Without presenting the cards no reduction in price is possible.

The casting to select models and hostesses for the 10th Gala Ball of Tomas Bata University in Zlín will be held in the University Centre (U13), room 540, at 14:00 on Tuesday, 23 February 2010. The University Ball will take place in the “Moskva” hotel on 19 March 2010 and host fashion show featuring underwear and dresses designed by the employees of the TBU Faculty of Multimedia Communications. There is no need to wear ball dress for those who want to participate in the casting; a T-shirt, jeans, a swimsuit, high-heeled shoes and a picture of the participant (for identification purposes) are sufficient. The TBU Gala Ball is always a highlight of the university life in Zlín.

We would like to invite you to attend another event held within the project “Dumb Creature” – the traditional "Christmas in the Animal Shelter", to take place for the second time in the Animal Shelter in Zlín-Vršava at 17:00 on 9th December 2009. Just like last year, everyone will be enabled to contribute to pet food, vaccines and to the operation of this animal home by buying a Christmas ball. Besides, the visitors will be able to enjoy hot tea, delicious mulled wine, sweet-smelling gingerbread and Christmas carols sung by children. Come to visit dogs and cats and prepare a very merry Christmas for them!

The Dean of FaME TBU in Zlín announces, in accordance with the DR 4/2008 the Research Support Fund (hereinafter referred to as “RSF”), the admissions procedure for internal grants (hereinafter referred to as “IG”) with the anticipated date of the commencement of the first solution on 1 January 2009 and completion on 31 December 2009. RSF is a programme-oriented instrument of financial support in the area of research and creative activities which aim is to encourage independent development of young, talented students (workers) of FaME TBU in Zlín to think in a creative manner and be able to formulate their ideas into scientific project. Within the RSF will be IG allocated to support Doctoral projects and projects of student scientific and technical activities. In connection with the "Rector's Sports Day", to take place on 10th May 2007, an official day off has been announced by the TBU Rector for that day and that in accordance with the Rector's Decree No. 9/2007. During the time announced, no classes will be held at the TBU faculties in Zlín and the examination sessions and tutorial hours of academic workers shall be cancelled.
In connection with the Rag Day, to take place on 24th April 2007, an official day off from 12:00 has been announced for that day and that in accordance with the Rector's Decree No. 7/2007.

The TBU Academic Senate has announced new dates for the university’s rector election. The candidates can be nominated before 10:00 on 05/04/2007. At 12:00 the candidates’ names will be posted on the official board. At 13:00 the candidates will make a public presentation to the academic community. The election of the candidate to be appointed as the new TBU Rector will be held on 10th April 2007.

The TBU Academic Senate calls the election of FaME representatives in the TBU Academic Senate to take place on Thursday 14/02/2007.
We would like to invite you to participate in the festive illuminating of the university Christmas tree, to take place inside and in front of the U2 building on 06/12/06 at 16:30. Under the decorated Christmas tree, St. Nicholas and his assistants are expected to arrive and stands will be situated, offering Christmas refreshments, gifts for children, not to forget a wish board, mistletoe and carols.
Afterwards, you are invited to come to a special after-party, to be held - as the first event of its kind in the Czech Republic – in the university premises, on the floor marked as -1 in the U2 building in Mostní Street on 06/12/06 at 19:30.
You will enjoy a programme featuring Marcus Cooper as the main attraction presenting funky, house and electronic music, with DJ Ratiafuckj to start the performance and with DJ Chose to end the event.
But only chosen persons will be lucky enough to be let in! Tickets are on sale on 05/12/06 in the Refectory, U4 building, between 11:00 and 13:00, for mere 30 CZK. (The remaining tickets will be on sale at the very location).
The Open Door Day at the Faculty of Management and Economics is scheduled to take place on Friday, 8th December 2006 and on Saturday 20th January 2007. From 10 o'clock on, those interested in studies can talk with the heads of all FaMe departments on the conditions of study. Materials concerning the study programmes and admissions will be available. In addition, the future students will get the opportunity to visit all teaching premises.
In the next academic year the FaME in Zlin will offer studies in Bachelor's and/or follow-up Master's degree programmes such as Economics and Management or Economics Policy and Administration, in full-time as well as in combined study programmes.
Lifelong Learning is to be continued as well. After having finished secondary school studies or a Bachelor's degree programme, the students can study subjects within accredited study programmes against payment. The advantage of this form of study consists in the deadline and the dates not being limited in accordance with the Higher Education Act. After obtaining a sufficient number of credits and passing the entrance examination the applicants are enabled to complete the studies free of charge and receive a Bachelor's or a Master's degree.
