In compliance with Rector’s Decree No. 16/2008 an official day off has been announced by the Rector to take place on 3 December 2008 from 4pm on the occasion of the event entitled ‘Illuminating the University Christmas Tree’. During the time announced, no classes will be held at the TBU faculties in Zlín and the examination sessions and tutorials of academic workers shall be cancelled.

We are delighted to invite you to attend a traditional event entitled "Illuminating the X-mas Tree", which will be held in front of the U2 Building at 4:30 pm on 3 December 2008. The event has been coorganized by the Students' Union and the TBU Rectorate. You will have a chance to enjoy the company of St. Nicholas, devils and angels as well as revive the spirit and traditions of Christmas and watch a nice Christmas film.

The International Students’ Day is held annually in order to commemorate the events from the year 1939, the difficult fight against fascism and the personal heroism of those involved in the fight.

The Dean of FaME TBU in Zlín announces, in accordance with the DR 4/2008 the Research Support Fund (hereinafter referred to as “RSF”), the admissions procedure for internal grants (hereinafter referred to as “IG”) with the anticipated date of the commencement of the first solution on 1 January 2009 and completion on 31 December 2009. RSF is a programme-oriented instrument of financial support in the area of research and creative activities which aim is to encourage independent development of young, talented students (workers) of FaME TBU in Zlín to think in a creative manner and be able to formulate their ideas into scientific project. Within the RSF will be IG allocated to support Doctoral projects and projects of student scientific and technical activities.
