In compliance with the Rector's Decree No. 2/2006, on 03/05/2006 and 09/05/2006 the classes are to be taught as scheduled for Mondays, in order to substitute the lessons cancelled due to public holidays on 01/05/2006 and 08/05/2006 respectively.

We would like to invite you to participate in the festive illuminating of the university Christmas tree, to take place inside and in front of the U2 building on 06/12/06 at 16:30. Under the decorated Christmas tree, St. Nicholas and his assistants are expected to arrive and stands will be situated, offering Christmas refreshments, gifts for children, not to forget a wish board, mistletoe and carols.

The Open Day at the Faculty of Management and Economics is scheduled to take place on Friday, 8th December 2006 and on Saturday 20th January 2007. From 10:00 on, those interested in studies can talk with the heads of all FaMe departments on the conditions of study. Materials concerning the study programmes and admissions will be available. In addition, the future students will get the opportunity to visit all teaching premises.

In the next academic year the FaME in Zlin will offer studies in Bachelor's and/or follow-up Master's degree programmes such as Economics and Management or Economics Policy and Administration, in full-time as well as in combined study programmes.

Lifelong Learning is to be continued as well. After having finished secondary school studies or a Bachelor's degree programme, the students can study subjects within accredited study programmes against payment. The advantage of this form of study consists in the deadline and the dates not being limited in accordance with the Higher Education Act. After obtaining a sufficient number of credits and passing the entrance examination the applicants are enabled to complete the studies free of charge and receive a Bachelor's or a Master's degree.

Tomase Bati 21, Zlin. The topic will be presented by Mr. Rich Hinnman, Second Secretary of the political section of the US Embassy in Prague . Presentation will be given in English – interpretation into Czech will not be provided.
